Arkansas — Sentencing Standards Grid (offenses committed January 1, 2018 and later)

Arkansas’s voluntary sentencing standards give a presumptive sentence from two things: how serious the offense is (level 1 to 10) and the person’s criminal history score. The box can be prison (ADC), a community correction center (CCC) or alternative sanctions (AS) such as probation.

These are the most common offenses at each level, from the Arkansas Sentencing Commission’s Benchbook. If yours is not listed, choose its seriousness level below. An attempt, solicitation or conspiracy is one level lower than the completed offense.

Set by A.C.A. § 16-90-803. Each earlier felony counts ½ point if it is at seriousness level 1–5 and 1 point at level 6–10; misdemeanors, some juvenile adjudications and being under supervision at the time can add points too. A defense lawyer or the presentence report will have the exact score.

Choose the offense (or seriousness level) and the criminal history score above.

Sentencing Standards Grid (months)

ADC = prison (Arkansas Division of Correction), CCC = community correction center, AS = alternative sanctions.

Checked on 25 October 2026 against the Arkansas Sentencing Commission’s 2026 Benchbook: every box of the Sentencing Standards Grid (also against each seriousness level page), each listed offense’s level, felony class and statute (also against the Seriousness Reference Table), and the normal legal range for each felony class. Not included: a calculator for the criminal history score, habitual offender ranges, offenses committed before 2018, release-eligibility rules after the Protect Arkansas Act, and departures.
