Washington — Sentencing Reform Act (RCW 9.94A)

Pick it from the list below if you see it. This fills in the Seriousness Level and the correct Offender Score rule automatically.

This number is based on your past convictions. Which rule applies depends on what you're currently charged with — picking the offense above already set this correctly, but you can change it if needed.

Select a seriousness level and offender score above.

These add mandatory, consecutive time on top of the standard range above — and double if you have a prior enhancement of the same kind.

Aggravating factors (can increase the sentence above the standard range)

Most require a jury to find them true beyond a reasonable doubt. A few can be found by the judge alone.

Court-alone (no jury needed):

Mitigating factors (can decrease the sentence below the standard range)
Sentencing alternatives (can replace the standard range entirely)
Fully solidified build. Every value in this calculator is verbatim-verified against current Washington statute text (RCW 9.94A.510, .515, .517, .525, .533, .535, .540, .650, .655, .660, .670, .728). Offense picker covers 72 verified offenses spanning all 16 seriousness levels (Washington's real table has ~160 total). Offender Score correctly applies the specific conditional rule for your current offense (12 distinct tracks), not a single flattened formula. Not yet modeled: the persistent offender ("three strikes"/"two strikes") life sentence rules, out-of-state/federal conviction comparability scoring, and the "same criminal conduct" merging analysis. Aggravating/ mitigating factors and alternatives are shown as reference information, not an automatic eligibility checker. • Grid checked on 24 October 2026 against RCW 9.94A.510 (Table 1, sentencing grid) on the Washington Legislature website: all 150 ranges match.
  • Drug offenses use the separate drug grid (RCW 9.94A.517); each drug offense is placed in its level as listed in RCW 9.94A.518. Checked on 24 October 2026: all 9 drug grid ranges and all 22 listed drug offenses match.
  • For drug offenses, enhancements are not calculated, because the added time depends on the felony class of each offense.
  • Enhancements such as firearm or deadly weapon (RCW 9.94A.533) are added on top of the standard range and are shown for information only.
